| By Kimberly,on December 13th,2010% Our good friend Pam of Ladybug Portraits (who took my maternity photos) also took some wonderful newborn photos of Sarah when she was two weeks old. Our favorites are posted below Sarah will be six weeks old tomorrow and weighs around 10 lbs now. She’s starting to fit into her 0-3month clothes now and is becoming more social, staying awake for longer periods of time and smiling. It’s really neat to see how she and Peter are starting to interact more! Share on Facebook By Kimberly,on October 14th,2010% Our good friend Pam of Ladybug Portraits took some maternity photos of me this past week. I wanted to post a few preview shots here. She also took some pictures of big brother Peter and did such a great job with all of them! We’ve been working hard on installing new floors this past month and we’re almost finished! I’ll be sure to post photos here when we’re done. Our friends threw me a small shower this past weekend (which was wonderful! Photos to come soon) and we’ve been buying a few items that we need to finish up,but we’re mostly ready for her! So now we’re just waiting for Sarah –I’ll be 36 weeks this Sunday, can you believe it? Won’t be long now! Share on Facebook By Kimberly,on August 10th,2010% I’ve had a few people ask what we need for Baby Sarah so I thought I’d make a few small registries just in case. We don’t really need much, but every store has different things and people like shopping different places,so here you go: Amazon &“Universal”List,Target,Buy Buy Baby,Babies R Us A few of my friends will be throwing a shower in early October up here in Dallas too –more details to come. Melissa and Dave had Katelyn this morning! http://web.mac.com/davepratt/Daves_Site/Katelyns_Birth.html has all of her photos. As for Peter,he’s four weeks old today and will be a month on Friday. We gave him a bath today and he really seemed to enjoy it for the first time. In fact,he was crying until I put him in the water and then quieted down and just looked around watching what I did. He’s become so much more aware of the world around him lately and has really seemed to like our evening walks around the neighborhood. There’s a short video of him in the tub up and just a few more photos. Smile for the camera! Overall I think he’ll be good (although we’re not fully on the same page regarding vaccinations –but he seems more open-minded than most doctors I’ve talked to) and he was very personable. What I really like though is that his office is at the same hospital we’re scheduled for labor at and that he’s only two doors down from my OB. That should make it really easy for everyone to have the same medical information! We also bought our crib today and it’s supposed to be delivered at the beginning of April. It’s a 3-1 convertible crib (can be a toddler bed and a full-sized) that has a nice pull out drawer on the bottom. I can’t wait until we get it and can put all of the fun things up on the walls! I’ve attached a sample photo of the crib from the webpage for those that are interested. I promise a new “belly”photo soon! Our crib will have different bedding but look basically the same Share on Facebook By Kimberly,on January 30th,2008% That’s right –we bought a new car! The more we talked about the amount of baby things we needed the more we realized we needed more storage space in our vehicle for trips to Houston (or even the mall!) Since Mike’s truck is 11 years old we decided it was a good time to get something new but didn’t want a huge SUV so we opted for the Chevy HHR Wagon. We found a great deal on a 2006 with a little over 20,000 miles on it. It had been repo’d and sold at auction so the price was great (and so was the CarFax report we had run on it) and the size is exactly what we are looking for. The dealership is fixing a few things we requested (the radio wasn’t working and one of the power mirrors was wonky) so we’re picking it up this weekend. I’m very happy with our choice. It has everything we need, isn’t too big and looks sharp (it’s even orange!). Not to mention the five star safety ratings in every category. So I’m going to consider this our first large “baby”purchase so I have an excuse to post it here Our 2006 Chevy HHR –ain’t she per-ty? Share on Facebook | |
