Sarah’s two week appointment was on Thursday and she weighed a hefty 7lbs 10 oz,measuring 20″long. She’s only in the 25% while Peter was in the 95% at his two week appointment! What a difference!
Peter’s been doing really well with Sarah and likes to hold her. We’ve done our best to include him as much as we can and not make him feel like she’s “taken over”but every once in a while he does get a little jealous when Mommy can’t play because she’s feeding the baby. Hopefully that will get better as Sarah starts to eat less often and for shorter periods of time.
She’s already going 3-4 hours between feedings during the day and an average of 5 at night (she went SEVEN hours last night!). She’s a great sleeper when it’s dark too and likes to be awake during the day –thank goodness! She has become a bit pickier and wants to be held when she’s awake –so we’ve pulled our trusty sling back out and I’m starting to use that again. Luckily she seems to like it as much as Peter did
Mike’s paternity leave ends tomorrow so the real the test for me begins! I’m thankful for all of the wonderful meals our friends have provided for us the past few weeks and even MORE thankful that we have more to come! What a wonderful support system we have!
We’re looking forward to Thanksgiving this year, especially since my mom will be cooking it up at our place. What a blessing to have time with family, wonderful food and not even have to leave our house!
